Information for New Clients

If we have already had our complimentary consultation and decided to work together, this information will help us get started. If we have not had an initial consultation, click here and schedule one so we can make sure I'm the right person to help you!

Set up client portal

If you scheduled your initial consultation online, you have already done this and are good to go! If you did not schedule online, I will email you a link to the portal. If you do not receive this, check your spam folder, and if it's not there, please let me know.

fill out paperwork

I prefer to share documents with you through the secure client portal, however I understand that sometimes people want to do their paperwork the old-fashioned way on actual paper. If you would prefer to do your paperwork this way, please let me know and I will send it along to you.

check your insurance

I do not accept insurance, but that does not necessarily mean that your insurance will not cover your counseling sessions. Many insurance companies will allow you to submit a bill showing the services you received and the amount you paid, so they can reimburse you some portion of the fee. Please let me know if you intend to attempt to receive reimbursement from insurance, and I can provide you with more information. You can find my fees here.

manage your appointments

Your client portal allows you to set reminders for appointments, and to cancel, add, or reschedule your appointments online.  Please note that I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. In cases of emergency, I may waive the fee. I may also waive the fee if we are able to reschedule the appointment within the same week. This is dependent on my availability and if I have any open session times.

If you email, call, or text me to cancel, I will confirm with you that I received the message. If you do not receive that message from me, please try me through an alternative mode of communication. If canceling through the portal, you do not need to ensure a response from me.
